The Teeth whitening method (bleaching) is a method performed with some special drugs applied to lighten the colors of the teeth that have changed color for various reasons. With the tooth whitening process, which can be done at home by the dentist in the dental clinic or with special drugs given by the dentist, a satisfactory whitening can be obtained by opening the teeth by 2-4 tons.
Dental calculus cleaning is the removal of discoloration caused by tea, coffee, cigarette etc. on the outer parts of the teeth by the dentist with mechanical tools. Stains that have penetrated into the teeth and congenital discolorations in the teeth can only be lightened with the whitening process. Different colorations require different treatments. For this reason, it is best to decide together with your dentist what type of application should be done, and not to use the whitening agents sold in the market by heart.
The bleaching process is applied in two ways as home and office type:
Home Bleaching:
It is a whitening process that is done by putting carbamide-peroxide-based gels into plastic mouthpieces prepared specifically for the person with a simple measure taken from the mouth and that the person can easily apply at home. Desired whitening can be achieved in an average of 5-7 days.
Office Type Whitening:
It is a simple and painless procedure that can be performed within 1 hour in the dentist’s office. In this bleaching method, a high concentration of bleaching agent is used. In this way, the color of the teeth can be opened very quickly, often in a single session. Their high concentration does not harm the teeth at all.
How white are the teeth?
The degree of whitening of the teeth varies from person to person, primarily depending on the initial color. While yellow-toned teeth can easily whiten by 2-6 tones; It is more difficult to whiten teeth in green or gray tones.
